Introduction to embroidery

  • Studio Sessions 2924 College Avenue Berkeley, CA, 94705 United States (map)

Embroidery is a slow, satisfying craft where thread meets fabric to tell a story. With just a needle and a few stitches, you can add color, texture, and personality to anything you create. In this introduction, Oksana will teach you how to thread and hold your needle and create your first embroidery stitches. By the end of the session, you will complete a brooch to embellish your top, bag, or to gift to someone.

Oksana will also share with you her tips to creative ways to use stitching in everyday projects and her tips to make your stitches neat and long-lasting.

Everything you need to practice and make your final project will be provided.
