Make an improv quilted vest! In the first session, you will use scraps from fabrics that you love and improvisational quilting techniques to create one-of-kind quilted fabrics to use in our garment creation. In the second session, we will sew a reversible quilted vest from these fabrics! This will involve basic garment construction techniques and bias binding.
Workshop requirements:
- Basic sewing machine skills
- ~ 1 1/2 yards of scrap fabrics
- 1 1/2 yards backing fabric
- 4-5 yards of 1/5” wide bias binding (double fold bias tape) coordinated with your fabrics (contrast binding is especially fun!)
- Matching thread (all purpose)
- Sewing pattern: Hanbok or Ruby vest.
Price: $ 310
